In Life of July 6 there was a letter about parakeets in the Haroldslea area of Horley.
Although I rarely see any this time of the year, I had several visits during the winter and managed to take a few pictures of them. They are supposed to be ring-neck parakeets but I could not see their rings.
On another subject, I look after Horley Local History Society's website and we have quite a number of old pictures of shops and other scenes. These have brought us contacts from the USA and many other places, where people are looking for their ancestors' homes and other details. The site is www.horleyhistory.org.uk
