When I visited Horley cemetery I was disgusted and appalled to see overflowing bins that clearly hadn’t been emptied for weeks, so much so that there is rubbish blowing around the gravestones.
Not to mention beer cans that have been left on what little benches there are in the grounds.
The grass was so tall in areas that it came over the top of my boots. No wonder the cemetery is in such a disgrace. It’s clear to anyone that the grass hasn’t been cut for months.
There was a time where this cemetery was kept in perfect order – the grass and rubbish were kept under control. Where has the respect gone? Where is the money going to maintain the grounds?
It’s heartbreaking for relatives to visit their passed loved ones in such a place.
