A few weeks ago the virtues of the proposed regeneration of Horley town centre were extolled in Life.
The council is to be congratulated on what appears to be the first stage by allowing yet another charity shop to be established in Horley.
Has the council hit upon a solution?
Looking around the town there are a number of empty shops. Why not invite other charities to come into Horley, such as cancer charities, animal charities, children's charities etc?
Hay-on-Wye is renowned for its books; Horley could be renowned for its charity shops and attract people from all over the country and possibly the world.
Any concerns about estate agents closing down would be dispelled since undoubtedly they would be kept busy attempting to find properties for those seeking to live in such an attractive area.
