While waiting for a dentist appointment I overheard two mothers saying that they had received phone calls from school teachers complaining about their children's unruly behaviour.
To my shock their response to the teachers was "they are in your care while they are at school, you deal with them."
One mother then laughed and said that the school was scared to call her now.
Surely these parents must realise that their children's behaviour at school is a reflection of how they bring their children up at home.
More emphasis should be placed on parenting skills in this country and borough.
Schools should not be accountable for unruly children's behaviour.
I am sure these parents would have a lot to say if the teachers were to punish their children in an inappropriate manner. Unbelievable.
