Horley Town U11 12
Twickenham 1
Horley played an evening game, coming away with a comprehensive win against fellow Epsom and Ewell Premier League opponents Twickenham.
The 12-1 scoreline sums up the story of this one- sided match while giving Horley their biggest win of the season so far.
The result is all the more special because of the problems the team has had to cope with due to long-term injuries and illness that has blighted and stretched the squad to its limits throughout this season.
The game was watched by a large crowd at the New Defence which no doubt helped spur the team on and keeps their challenge going for top spot in the league.
Manager Sean Branton said: "I'm really proud of the effort and dedication the boys have put in not only this season but the past three years and everything they have achieved so far, when they have got their back to the wall they come out fighting.
"Its a pleasure to manage, coach and watch them play every weekend as was witnessed by the crowd tonight"
