Springfit gymnastics and trampoline club invited members of one of their advanced gymnastics classes to a recreational competition at Walton Xcel Leisure Centre.
The club, which operates at Oakwood Sports Centre, Horley, was invited by Flair gymnastics and trampoline club to help celebrate its centenary, and came away with honourable distinctions.
More than 14 clubs from the South East participated in judged vaults and floor routines.
Of eight entries, five Springfit club members won placings and took home three medals.
Abbie Clifton was fourth in the intermediate girls under-10 category, with Holly Bird and Amber Clifton achieving third and sixth places in the under-13s. Luisa Del Maschio was sixth in the over- 13s.
Most impressive was Horley-based gold medal winner Zoe Briscoe, 15, who won the top spot in the over-13 category incorporating a recently learnt no-handed cartwheel in her routine.
The achievement caps a fantastic year for Zoe, who was also recognised with an award for progress at the club, and won gold at the Saturn V inter-club competition in November.
Of her achievement, Zoe said: "It was totally unexpected but I'm glad I came and I'm even more determined to work hard in class to try to get better at gymnastics and push myself to the next level."
