Youngsters at Bobtails Playgroup at Horley Infant School enjoyed a surprise visit from the team at Reigate fire station.
Firefighters visited the playgroup to give the children a demonstration of some of their skills and a close-up look at some of their firefighting equipment.
Bobtails manager Justine Palmer said: “Bobtails have been learning all about different forms of transport this term.
“The children had the chance to spray the hose, sit in the fire engine and learn all about fire safety.”
Pupils from the infant school also joined the Bobtails youngsters for the visit last Friday.
