Merstham-based community radio station Susy Radio 103.4fm will be marking Valentine's Day tomorrow in a very different way.
For presenter Charlotte Wilson will be spinning an alternative selection of sounds for all those not fired by Cupid's arrow.
Charlotte will be remembering those sitting alone at home and playing tunes to remind people that in fact, being single is not such a bad thing after all.
From 7pm to 9pm, Charlotte, joined by husband Alex, will be celebrating music inspired by failed relationships and the quest for love.
Her tracks will include songs by Fleetwood Mac, Adele, Fairground Attraction and Blondie, as well as lesser known but entirely appropriate tracks, such as 'Hard To Love, Easy To Lay, by Black Wire,' and 'Next Girl by the Black Keys.
Then from 9pm, fellow presenter Henry Mack will continue the alternative Valentine’s theme, and take listeners safely through to Friday (February 15), at which point, according to a Susy Radio spokesman, “We can all forget this mushy Valentine’s nonsense for at least another year!”
