Influential American guitarist Stefan Grossman will bring his years of experience at the forefront of rock, folk and blues to The Hawth Studio, Crawley, on Monday, September 29, at 8.15pm.
A student of blues and gospel singer and guitarist the Rev Gary Davis, Stefan played blues and ragtime to audiences during the 1960s folk and blues revival in Britain.
he formed the Even Dozen Jug Band and worked with the groundbreaking political rock group The Fugs, before moving to Britain.
In 1968 he co-founded Kicking Mule Records with Ed Denson - a label that showcased idiosyncratic acoustic blues and folk guitar styles.
Stefan has influenced guitarists throughout Europe with his style and is well known for his more than 30 years of guitar tuition.
His How to Play Blues Guitar has been released on vinyl.
