ACCLAIMED London Community Gospel Choir come to Fairfield Halls, Croydon, on Saturday, July 26, at 8pm.
The choir, pioneers of the concert gospel choir scene in Britain, will be performing a programme as varied as the musical achievements they have notched up and the venues they have played.
The singers have had chart success performing with indie heroes Blur and in 2006 recorded the official World Cup song with the rock band Embrace.
Other highlights have included recording the soundtrack for the Disney blockbuster The Lion King.
Adaptable and creating melodies with rich harmonies, whether performing as an octet or a 30-strong choir, LCGC have become known for funky gospel flair, traditional and soulful arrangements and invigorating choreography and vocal gymnastics.
