TANNAHILL Weavers are one of Scotland's leading traditional bands whose diverse repertoire spans the centuries.
Originally from Paisley, the group's following grew after founding members Roy Gullane and Phil Smillie became the first professional Scottish group to introduce highland bagpipes to their performances.
The group's appeal goes beyond the Celtic and Scottish folk scene and they have successfully toured America and Canada. The Tannahill Weavers appear at Chequer Mead, East Grinstead, tomorrow at 8pm as part of the Accoustic Sussex concert series and will be supported by Celtish. Tickets at £13, concessions £11, on 01342 302000.
