ENGLISH Touring Opera presents a feast for opera fans at The Hawth, Crawley, this weekend.
This Friday is the turn of Mozart's Don Giovanni, considered to be one of the greatest operas, sung in English. It tells the story of three women plotting the demise of Don Juan, a young nobleman who, after a lifetime of romantic conquests, finally meets his match.
This Saturday is Donizetti's Anna Bolena, sung in Italian with English subtitles. It relives Anne Boleyn's final days on the throne as Jane Seymour waits in the wings. There will be a free pre-performance talk at 6.30pm. Reservations should be made at the box office.
Both performances begin at 7.30pm and are accompanied by a full orchestra. Tickets at £15.50 and £25, discounts £2 off, on 01293 553636.
