BANTOCK James Maurice (Jim) Peacefully on 28th November 2023, aged 91 years. Jim, a dearly loved Brother. Will be sadly missed by all his family and friends. Funeral Service at the Woodvale Crematorium, Lewes Road, Brighton on Friday 22nd December, at 12 Noon. Family flowers only please, donations to the Martlets Hospice c/o Philip Evans Family Funeral Services, 172 Old Shoreham Road, Southwick, BN42 4HU. Telephone 01273 870870 Cheques payable to the charity please and receipts by request.

In the summer of 1986 I was an exchange student from Mexico and was hosted by Jim And his then wife Maria. We kept in touch all these years writing “old fashion” letters without missing more than a month. It has been a few months now that I haven’t received any news from Jim, and was very worried, so after looking all over the internet found this obituary, and with heavy heart I wonder if it’s the same person? Unfortunately, I don’t have contact information of any family members .. I knew he had a brother and his wife was Christina , so I beg if any readers have any information and can confirm this is my dear writing pal JIm, please let me know ! I know my friend was an elderly man and I was aware that his parting was to be expected, however I would like to confirm this is truly Jim . Thank you so much !
