BRIAN DAVID SHIELDS It is with great sadness that we announce that Brian, aged 66, passed away on 29th June after a heart attack and several years of suffering with MS. He was a greatly loving Husband to Gillian, beloved Dad to Sasha and Gabriel and a dear Brother to Graham. He will be sadly missed but we are grateful that his passing was peaceful and he was surrounded by love. Brian had a brilliant mind and an outstanding career as Worldwide Research Director at the International Herald Tribune/International New York Times. He retired in 2015 due to ill health. Brian attended AA meetings in Brighton, Grimsby & Cleethorpes where he made many friends. He passed away in recovery, serene and free of all cares. The funeral will be held on 23rd July at 1pm at Corpus Christi Church in Cleethorpes. Anyone wishing to send flowers or donate in his memory to the MS Society should contact J W Emberson Funeral Directors, Grimsby.
