Gwendoline Christina (Gwen) Wainwright née Slaney Beloved wife of the late Gordon, passed away peacefully on 03/02/2021. Gwen was a much loved Mother to Vanessa and Mike, Grandmother to Joshua, Katy, Matthew, David, Ian and Lucy and Great-Grandmother to Ross, Dillon, Kian and Thomas. Gwen was a lovely, caring person who would do anything for any of her family or friends. As a young woman Gwen supported the Royal British Legion, especially the Poppy Appeal and this continued for many years until Alzheimer's took hold. Alongside this, for over 50 years, Gwen "did" for many people in Brighton and Hove, assisting with cleaning, shopping or just being there for a chat, accompanied by a cup of tea and a biscuit. Vanessa and Mike would like to thank all the staff at Partridge House Nursing Home for the wonderful care that they have given Mum. They never minded what she got up to, even when Gwen tried to hide the fire extinguishers.
