WESTBROOK Roy Edwin Passed away on 3rd August 2020, aged 89. Much loved husband of June, father of Lynn and Carol, Grandad to Stephen, Lauren, Nicholas and Sam and Great Grandad to Harry and Bobby. Private family funeral service to take place at Worthing Crematorium with a future memorial service to be arranged at St Nicolas Church, Portslade. Very sorry to learn of Roy’s passing today.
I knew Roy when he was Chief Town Clerk for Shoreham UDC ~ I worked for Southwick UDC in the late 1960’s.
I played cricket for Portslade aged 15yrs when Roy was a very good fast bowler and a very loyal member of the cricket club.
I was a member of Waterhall Golf Club for 35 years b 4 it’s closure this March ~ again i knew Roy very well at the Golf Club and played with him on occasions. RIP Roy ~ you’ll be missed my friend

Very sad to see this. I played golf with Roy at Waterhall and was his winter league partner for a few years. We regularly played together in the annual Heart Gala. He will be missed.

Roy will be missed at St Nicolas Church, we are sorry to hear of his passing. Lovely man. known him all our lives. lived next door to grandparents when young, and a great friend in church. We will miss him. Our sympathies to June and the family. Bill and Audrey Ring (South Wales)
