TYLER Brian and Julia
Fr Brian Sidney Tyler passed away peacefully at home on Monday 27th April 2020, with his family, aged 88. Born in 1932, after national service in the RAF Police and a career in West Sussex Constabulary, Fr Brian was ordained priest in 1965 and served the parishes of St Michael's Brighton, St Peter's Fishersgate, St Martin's Brighton and St Richard's Hollingdean. Fr Brian was also Chaplain at St Dunstan's and Chaplain to the RAF Association and RAF Cadets during a ministry of over 50 years. A loving father and grandfather, accomplished pianist and lover of jazz, rugby and Harvey's, he will be greatly missed by all who knew him. Also his beloved wife Julia Mary Tyler, who passed away at home with her family on Friday 24th April 2020, aged 80. She will be dearly missed by her children and grandchildren. Born in Hove in 1940, daughter of Harold and Eileen Stiles, Julia lived most of her life in the city she loved and her faith was central to her life. A supporter of all of Brighton's Wagner churches she was a loyal member of St Martin's, Lewes Road. Rest in Peace and may light perpetual shine upon them. Jesu mercy, Mary pray. Their funeral will be attended by immediate family. A Requiem Mass to remember them will be held at a later date.
