We are all very sad in our house. I took my two kittens to Shaun 17 years ago and he put one of them peacefully to sleep only last year, after a year of illness on and off, with weekly visits for blood glucose checks, and other ailments. Always thought he'd lay our other to sleep - never thought he wouldn't be here to do that. Shaun went away each year to help homeless animals, tried every which way to make your animals well, and if things were a little tight, no problem, because he was all about the animals. A great loss and some huge shoes to fill. A true hero. Thank you. RIP Shaun

So shocked and saddened to hear the news of Shaun's passing. He looked after my boys with such care and compassion until we moved away from the area. I trusted him with my boys and it was such a hard decision to leave him. Let us hope he calls by Rainbow Bridge to say hello to some old friends, including Bramble, Bracken and Henry, on his final journey. RIP Shaun and condolences to your family for their loss.

So very sorry to hear of the death of Shaun. He was my vet for decades - since we were both young people - a lovely caring compassionate man, wonderful with animals and such a nice man. I alas did not hear the news in time to pay my respects at the funeral but my sincere condolences to his wife and family and colleagues at the surgery. RIP Shaun.

We met Shaun about 28 years ago, sort of grew older together, Our relationship was cat based, actually he wanted one of our kittens. Great guy, softly spoken, compassionate and very knowledgeable. We liked him, we really liked him. now we have no cats left and no Shaun. His contribution was unmeasurable. Cheers mate for all you did for us and our three cats. Rest In Peace

God bless you, Shaun. A truly devoted, kind man who looked after the health and well-being of all my cats, an unexpected pet rabbit and my parent's dogs and cats, for years. The utmost support and care was always given by Shaun when they were not feeling their best. Will always be remembered X

What heartbreaking news. Shaun was a wonderful vet and gave me much-needed words of support and encouragement when I rescued my Bear Konichiwa the Akita from Dogs Trust, Shoreham over 7 years ago. A true Saffy, warm, funny and incredibly compassionate, my heart aches for those he left behind. Brighton & Hove will miss one of its most-loved and highly regarded sons and I shall be there on Wednesday to pay my respects xxx

RIP Shaun, I always referred to him as " The best vet in the world" ,and he certainly was..a truly lovely man who went above and beyond..he was passionate and caring and so kind. When the time came for my beloved Sammy to go to the great cat heaven, Shaun made it so much easier by actually coming to my home in April 2004 to euthenaise him, explaining everything and ending his life peacefully. I know I am not alone in saying that he will be sorely missed. God Bless you Shaun xxx
