Bateman Audrey Mary Alicia 7 Sept 1929 - 25 April 2018 Born in London, survived the Blitz and started work at 14, she improved her hand and sewing machine skills, supported herself and her parents. She married Jim Finch after the war and settled in London with their family of 4. Audrey worked more as the children grew older eventually running a factory of machinists turning out fashion for London in the swinging sixties. Her first husband died in 1972 and she later found love with her second husband, Bill Bateman, who died just 4 years ago. Audrey started her own business making suits and wedding dresses (for her two daughters too), from design to aisle, and also making unique items for designers. She was particulary proud of the blouse she made for Princess Diana. All her life she gave her skills and love, even weeks before she passed away making warm clothes for Syrian refugee babies. Always loving and loved. Rest in Peace.
