BRIAN JAMES ARTHUR LURRING formerly of British Gas Peacefully on on 25th March 2018 aged 81 years. Brian beloved husband of the late Shirley Dearly loved dad to Martyn, Donna, Vincent, Samantha & Pam and a wonderful grandad / Be- Bop & great grandad will be deeply missed by all his family and friends. So sorry to hear Brian has passed away. I remember him when l first left school at 16 and worked for the Gas Board at Black Rock in the transport office and he used to come in with his cap on the back of his head full of cheek! Now reunited with his beloved Shirley. Rest in peace Brian. Much Love from Margaret and Darren (Paddock Court)

Sad to hear the news of Brian. I remember playing around the garages between Graham Ave & College Close as a child. We used to call him ‘The Gas Man’ always friendly. RIP xx
